Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Period Tracker mobile application ("App") available on iOS and Android platforms. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Period Tracker is a menstrual cycle tracking application that provides:
- Period and cycle tracking with predictions
- Ovulation and fertility window estimates
- Daily symptom and mood logging
- Cycle history and statistics
- Health-related articles and content
- Community forum for questions and discussions
- Push notifications and daily reminders
3. Account Registration
To use the App, you must create an account using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. Medical Disclaimer
The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Cycle predictions, ovulation estimates, and fertility window calculations are based on mathematical algorithms and your input data. They are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon for:
- Medical diagnosis or treatment
- Contraception or pregnancy prevention
- Fertility treatment decisions
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice regarding your menstrual health, fertility, or any health concerns.
5. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases
The App offers a premium (ad-free) experience through auto-renewable subscriptions:
5.1 Subscription Plans
- Monthly Plan — Billed once per month
- Yearly Plan — Billed once per year
5.2 Premium Features
- Removal of all banner, interstitial, and app-open advertisements
- Access to all premium articles
- Supporting the continued development of the App
5.3 Payment & Renewal
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase
- Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- The renewal price will be the same as the original subscription price
5.4 Managing & Cancelling Subscriptions
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then
- No refunds will be provided for the unused portion of a subscription period
5.5 Free Trial
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
5.6 Restore Purchases
You may restore your active subscription on a new device using the "Restore Purchases" option within the App.
5.7 Price Changes
Subscription prices may change from time to time. You will be notified in advance of any price increase and will have the option to cancel before the new price takes effect.
6. User Content & Community Guidelines
When posting questions, answers, or other content in the community section, you agree to:
- Be respectful — No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or personal attacks
- Be truthful — Do not spread misinformation or impersonate others
- Stay relevant — Keep discussions related to menstrual health and wellness
- Respect privacy — Do not share personal information of others
- No spam — Do not post promotional content, advertisements, or repetitive messages
- No medical advice — Do not present opinions as medical facts
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines and to suspend or terminate accounts of repeat offenders without notice.
7. Intellectual Property
All content in the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, articles, code, and design — is the property of Period Tracker or its content providers and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute App content without permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App's name or branding for unauthorized purposes
8. Advertisements
The free version of the App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. These may include banner ads, interstitial ads, native ads, and rewarded video ads. Ad content is provided by third-party advertisers and we do not endorse the products or services advertised.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of cycle predictions or health information
- We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App
- We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, network issues, or third-party service outages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for premium features in the 12 months preceding the claim
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting your account through the App settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the App ceases immediately
- Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Sections regarding limitation of liability and intellectual property survive termination
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or our website. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in India.
